Anxiously Waiting..

Hello friends! It has been about two and a half months since I have posted a blog post, so I decided it was finally time to do so.

My life has been pretty crazy lately. May 10th, the day I will marry my best friend in the world, is lingering closer and closer, and yet it isn't coming fast enough. The days seem to be dragging on and on as it gets closer, and I am just so ready to go through the temple and be sealed for time and all eternity. A little over a month ago, Brittani moved back to Hanksville to work at her family's business, and so we have had the experience of a long-distance relationship. Because of gas prices and Hanksville being six gruesome hours away, we only get to see each other once every other weekend. And for those of you who know what it's like to be away from the person you love, it is not fun AT all!! And because of this distance, it makes both of us get more and more anxious for May 10th. But, it has been a good experience for us. Since we started dating, we had never really been separated for more than a few days. And now that we have spent much more time apart, we have begun to realize how strong the love we have for each other really is and it has shown us that we NEVER want to be apart. And to know that we will be married for all eternity, it just makes me so incredibly happy! Marrying your best friend is one of the best things a person can do in their life. I have truly found happiness. Brittani makes me the happiest man alive and I wonder every day what I ever did to deserve such a kind, loving, and beautiful woman like her. But I am so thankful for it every day. I am so thankful that she was brought into my life. She has been the greatest influence on my life. And for all those of you that are married out there, I am sure you know the feeling!

I would also like to point out how grateful I am for all of the support I have been given. This decision to get married wasn't easy. It took many, many hours of fasting and prayer. And I have been criticized by some for my decision. But I know without a doubt that it is the right thing to do, that it is what the Lord wants. It has meant so much to both Brittani and I that we have been given so much love and support. So thank you to all those who have been so gracious to us and have continued to support us through the thick and thin. We love you!

So just so everyone knows, we will be getting married in the morning of May 10th in the Salt Lake Temple. We are going through the Manti Temple on May 1st to get our endowments. Our receptions will follow the following next two days after the wedding. There will be a reception in Hanksville on May 11th from 7-9 pm at the Old Church. The reception in Orderville will be on May 12th from 6-8 pm at the Seminary Park. We hope to see you all there!
